Seph McKenna is best known in Australia for his long stint as Roadshow Film’s Head of Australian Production (2006-2017), and short but meaningful stint as Screenwest’s CEO (2018).

Seph began working with UltraFilms in 2020 as Executive Producer and Co-Creator of  the family feature ‘A Faraway Christmas which UltraFilms has currently in Development.

After working as a Congressional Aide on Capitol Hill, Seph started his Entertainment career on the  Warner Bros. Lot in 2001 as a legal intern with an office over looking George Clooney’s parking space outside the ER set. After graduating from Law School, Seph started with Village Roadshow Pictures in Los Angeles during the heyday of it’s co-finance relationship with Warner Bros working on now classic titles including the MATRIX series, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, HAPPY FEET, OCEANS 11 & 12, SWORD FISH and many others. 

At Roadshow, Seph leveraged his Hollywood Studio experience and oversaw with CEO, Joel Pearlman, a renaissance in Australian film’s for the whole family, including BRAN NUE DAE, RED DOG I & II, PAPER PLANES, ODDBALL and was instrumental in the acquisition of family titles including GO KARTS, RAMS, BREATH, MISS FISHER’S MURDER MYSTERY, THE DRY and PENGUIN BLOOM. 

As such Seph is rated G. During his time at  Screenwest; Seph oversaw the largest production boom in the Western Australia’s history, including well regarded prestige TV: MYSTERY ROAD and THE HEIGHTS, and features including DIRT MUSIC, H IS FOR HAPPINESS, RED DOG; THE KOKO STORY, and THE NAKED WANDERER.
